What happens?
When someone selects tickets, those tickets are temporarily reserved in their shopping cart so other visitors cannot buy them at the same time. This reservation only lasts for a limited amount of time. If the person does not complete the payment within that time, the reservation automatically expires.
What happens to those tickets?
When a reservation expires, the tickets are released back into the ticket shop. This means they become available for others to purchase again.
Because of this, it is possible that:
- An event appears sold out at first
- Some reserved tickets are not purchased
- The tickets return to the shop and become available again
What should I do if an event is sold out?
If an event shows as sold out, it can sometimes be worth checking again later. Tickets may become available again if other visitors do not complete their purchase in time.
